It is one of around 27,000 that have relined, 3-groove barrels. The stock was replaced. Note the cut-out on the buttplate for a patch box and has "JR" carved in the left side. The carbine has the standard markings and features.

Rating Definition:

Very good with traces of bright case colors on the hammer, hints of arsenal blue finish, faint original case colors on the action and lock, and a mix of brown and gray patina on the balance. The wood is fair with moderate handling wear, general scrapes and dings, and traces of the "DFC" cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
