Fixed sights, with "W. TRANTERS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame, "450" on the upper left barrel flat, and "E.M. REILLY & Co./502 OXFORD St. LONDON" on the top barrel flat. E.M Reilly & Company was active with that address from 1860 to 1881. Fine scroll engraving is present on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and buttcap, with floral accents on and around the screws. The unfluted cylinder bears a set of "crossed scepter" proofs between the chambers, with a "71"assembly number on the barrel, cylinder and loading gate. Fitted with a fine one-piece checkered grip.

Very fine, with 80% plus of the original nickel finish, showing a mild gray patina on the ejector rod swivel, trigger guard and grip cap, with some light spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are also very fine, with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.
