The revolver features an unfluted cylinder with Birmingham black powder proofmarks stamped between the five chambers at the rear, loading gate, ejector rod mounted to the front of the frame, "W. TRANTER'S/PATENT" marked on the left side of the frame and caliber marking "320" on the upper left barrel flat. The top barrel flat has the retailer marking "VEISEY & SON." The frame, buttcap, trigger guard and breech end of the barrel feature a fine scroll engraving. The partitioned case has brass hardware and lacks a label.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% plus original nickel finish showing some very scattered light flaking. The grip is also excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine showing numerous minor handling/storage marks and some minor wear in the lining.
