This is a classic "Queen Anne" style pistol with turn-off cannon barrel, silver cap and inlays, and integral breech and lock with the frizzen spring folded between the cock and flash pan. Like most "Queen Anne" pistols, it was actually manufactured during the Georgian era, in this case around the mid-18th century by James Barbar. It is marked "BARBAR LONDINI" (Latin for London) on the lower right and has London private proof and view marks flaking Barbar's "*/IB" maker mark on the lower left. There is some light engraving. The silver butt cap is in the shape of a lion, and there is some silver wire inlay on the left flat.

Fine overall with gray patina and mild pitting on the iron, aged patina on the silver, some fading to the markings, scattered scrapes, and some small hairline cracks on the left flat. Mechanically excellent.
