The only number on the rifle is number "1" stamped on the forward flat portion of the safety. Inverted "V" blade front with clamp on sight protector, and tangent rear sights graduated from 1-20 (on top and bottom). The receiver is marked "STEYR/SOLOTHURN". Mannlicher style clip feed system and Mauser style receiver. Full length stock with finger grooves, single barrel band, "H" pattern bayonet lug with cleaning rod, stacking rod, sling swivels and trapdoor steel buttplate with oiler bottle.
