The company was in business from 1851 to 1960. This shotgun features a single bead sight on a matte solid rib. The breech end of the right barrel is marked, "C.G. BONEHILL. MAKER. BIRMINGHAM" and "SPECIAL STEEL" on the left barrel. The breech end of the rib is marked "PATENT/CLIP LUMP". 2 1/2 inch chambers, choked improved cylinder/improved modified with extractor. The locks, frame, break lever, hammer, trigger guard and forearm hardware are lightly scroll and border engraved. Each lock is marked "C.G.COOPER" and the forearm release lever is marked "PATENT". Blue barrels, break lever and trigger guard, and casehardened remaining metal surfaces. Mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, lightly engraved toe and heel plate and checkered bare butt. Length of pull is 14 inches, bore diameter is .662/.662, wall thickness is .054/.054, drop at the heel is 1 7/8 inches and drop at the comb is 1 1/2 inches. Comes with a hard leather takedown case with leather corner protectors, handle and straps. "O.L.P." is embossed in the outside of the lid. The lining is wine colored felt. In the case is a "MADE IN ENGLAND" marked nickel oiler, a partial box of Atkin, Grant & Lang LTD., cleaning patches and two nickel snap caps.
