Manufactured in 1896. It is fitted with combination Beach front, elevation adjustable rear and tang peep sights. The top barrel flat is marked with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "32-40" at the breech. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Fine. The rifle retains 60% plus original blue finish with the balance a mix of smooth brown and gray patinas. 30% original case colors remain on the hammer and lever. The loading gate retains 30% original nitre blue. The reoiled wood is very good with a long hairline crack near the upper tang, a couple small missing chips and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
