Ramp mounted beaded blade front and three-leaf (one standing, two folding) express notch rear sights with gold sighting lines. The rib is signed "WILLIAM DOUGLASS & SONS STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND" between the rear sight and breech. The left hand barrel is marked ".470 NE 500 GRAIN BULLET" The barrel flats and receiver are stamped with standard London nitro proofmarks for 1997. The border and scroll engraved treble-grip action is signed on the underside and has a blued top lever and floor plate, a manual safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE," blued removable striker discs, a well-figured 14 3/4 inch pistol grip stock including a 3/4 inch rubber recoil pad, checkered grip and forend, and blued trigger guard and forearm release leer engraved en suite. Stock measurements are: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull. Weight 9 lbs. 12.4 oz.

Excellent overall. 99% original blue finish remains with some light handling marks, overall. The case colors are vibrant and the markings are sharp. The wood has sharp checkering, and a few slight dings. Mechanically excellent.
