In production from 1935 to 1945, Krieghoff manufactured Lugers on military contract exclusively for Luftwaffe use. Blade and notch sights, with the "1940" date atop the chamber and the "H anchor K/ KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" (C-3 Die Type per Gibson's "Krieghoff Parabellum") marking on the toggle link. Droop wing eagle proofs are present on multiple components, as well as a LWaA "eagle/2/L" proof on the right side of the extension, along with matching visible numbers. The small components show a straw finish, with niter blue screws and checkered grips. Both magazines are blued with alloy bases, which are stamped "SGT./EUGENE/JARVIS" on the bases, one of which is the correct matching number (10983) to the pistol; Sergeant Jarvis has not been identified, though it would be well in character for an American serving abroad to seek out a Luger as a trophy, as it would be in character for a German trooper to wind up with a mixed set of magazines due to an inadvertent swap or needing a replacement. With a black leather holster marked "gxy/42" (Klinge Brothers, Dresden), "WaA/918" (Hans Roemer, Neu-Ulm) and "P.08" on the back, with a "135" proofed takedown tool and a Nazi eagle button on the flap.

Fine, with 50% of the fading blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina overall, along with bright edge wear and handling marks. The side plate shows a number of scuffs and scratches, and has been polished. Traces of original straw color are present in the protected areas, and the right grip screw is a replacement. Some light dings and scuffs are present on the grips, with a spacer between the left grip panel and the frame. Mild scuffs and scratches are present on the holster, which generally remains supple with solid stitching. Mechanically excellent.
