Measuring 7 3/8 inches when opened, this pocketknife is equipped with two drop point blades, an unmarked 2 inch blade and a 3 1/4 inch blade marked "SELF PRESERVATION NATURE'S FIRST LAW" and "BROWN & TOMPKIN" on the left side and "19" in red enamel (the style of author and dealer Robert Abels) on the right. The body is fitted with alternating German silver and stag grip panels, with floral designs at the bottoms and American eagle motifs in the center.
