Manufactured from 1863 to 1973 and subsequently converted to rimfire. A plate has been added to the recoil shield, the rear of the cylinder has been milled flat and grooves added for the hammer striker, an ejector rod has been mounted on the right side of the frame, and a notch cut into the loading lever to secure the rod when not in use. The top barrel flat has the three-line patent date/address/New Model marking. The cylinder lacks the patent date marking. The underside of the barrel has several numbers including "361," which is repeated on the left side of the grip frame near the serial number and the stamped named "REENEWOLD."

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are very good with numerous minor dings on the bottom, a few missing tiny chips and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
