Description:

Measuring 34 1/2 inches overall with a 24 1/4 inch blade, showing a fine straight hamon, copper habaki, square iron tsuba, and a tan cord wrapped hilt with a blue/brown tassel and "sitting Buddha" menuki. The tang has two mekugi-ana, and no visible signature. With a brown leather covered saya with a single suspension ring.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The blade tip has been sharpened (possibly reshaped), with pitting on the left side near the tip, traces of storage grease, mild spotting and handling marks. The tsuba shows a near black aged color with some light stains and handling on the hilt. A small loop of cord run around the koshirae has been cut, and the ends glued to prevent fraying. The sheath is good, with mild scuffs.
