Round barrel with full length raised matted sighting rib signed "ARMY & NAVY CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LIM.D LONDON" and engraved "FOR CORDITE ONLY". The rib with slightly elevated ramp for the bead front sight and fitted with an express sight graduated to "1000" yards. Border engraved receiver with magazine cut-off and marked "LEE-SPEED PATENTS B.S.A. CO. E.578". Engraved upper tang with manual safety and with blued border engraved dust cover to the bolt. Detachable five round box magazine. Engraved buttplate with hinged trap cover. Figured 14 inch stock with checkered pistolgrip and forearm, and dark horn pistolgrip cap and forearm tip, the underside of the butt with white metal escutcheon. Two iron sling eyes, blued finish throughout. Birmingham nitro proof marks.

Very fine with 80% of the period custom blue. Partially refinished, bluing to trigger guard rubbed. Butt plate discolored. Some minor age related storage and handling marks and blemishes to the stock. Mechanically excellent.
