Block mounted bead front sight with tunnel cover, and ring mounted matted rear sight of one fixed and two folding leaves respectively graduated for "100", "300" and "400" yards and each with platinum inlaid center line. Blued receiver engraved "SIGHTED FOR RIGBY'S SPECIAL HIGH VELOCITY .275 BORE CARTRIDGE POINTED BULLET 140 GRS" on the receiver ring. Blued bolt with flattened knob and with blued cocking piece with flag safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" and Rigby patent aperture peep-sight. Blued trigger guard and magazine floor plate, the last engraved with the initial "D". Figured 14 1/2 inch pistol grip stock with grooved dark horn butt plate, dark horn pistol grip cap, and checkered grip and forearm. The underside of the butt with blued rear sling eye. Weight: 7 lbs. 0.8 oz. The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was sold to G.C. Devas on 3 October 1934. In original makers canvas and leather full length case, the lid with John Rigby & Co. trade label, the exterior initialed "G.C.D." With accessories including nickel plated funnel, bone pot, cleaning rod and cleaning attachments in a brown leather pouch.
