This revolver was engraved by Colt Master Engraver Dennis Kies who began working for Colt in the 1960s and became a master engraver in 1984. The Custom Shop end label confirms the overall configuration including "GOLD PLATED FINISH W/ TYPE 'B' MASTER ENGRAVING AND MOTHER OF PEARL STOCKS BIRDSHEAD CONFIGURATION." The revolver has standard markings, attractive traditional American scroll and floral engraving with punch dot backgrounds, matching serial numbers, "D.A.K." (Dennis A. Kies) on the left side of the front strap at the toe, and screw less mother of pearl grips bonded to a wood spacer.

Excellent overall with only light handling and storage marks, and some slight cylinder drag lines. The boxes are good with moderate wear including some separation on the outer sleeve. Mechanically excellent.
