Exceptional Documented Special Order Nickel Plated Colt Police Positive Special Double Action Revolver in Desirable .32-20 W.C.F. with Pearl Grips, Original Box and Factory Letter

Manufactured in 1929. Desirable nickel finish and factory pearl grips, standard markings and matching numbers on the yoke and crane. Comes with the original box featuring "SPECIAL" label and an end label listing pearl grips and nickel finish, "Shooting Suggestions" and two Police Positive pamphlets. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 5 inch barrel in .32-20 caliber, nickel finish and pearl grips. It was shipped on June 26, 1930, to Chas. Ilfeld Co. (address not listed) with dealer locations in Albuquerque and Las Vegas.

ConditionNear new in box. The revolver retains 99% plus original nickel finish with a few minor scratches and a very light cylinder drag line. The grips are fine with sizeable missing chip (right side) and a minor missing chip (left side) near the bottom, some minor scratches and highly attractive color. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some scattered minor wear and the last caliber portion of the end label missing.
