Fixed sights, with the right side of the slide marked "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" ahead of the ejection port, the two line, two block address and patent dates on the reverse and the circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The left side of the trigger guard is marked "VP" and "1", with "K" factory rework mark on the right side. Knurled casehardened round hammer with half-cock notch. Fitted with checkered walnut grips. The slide has the early production "BROWNING'S PATENT/APR. 20. 1897 SEPT. 9. 1902" patent marking which is commonly seen in the 1 to 500 serial number range.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 70% of the factory refinished blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps, a mixed brown and gray on the high edges, mild spotting and scattered handling marks. A few dings are present around the barrel pins. Grips are good, with a crack in the top of the left panel and mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
