Introduced in 1911 for issue to cavalry troops. Blade front and short staff folding rear sights, with a solid mum and the arsenal mark (no series stamp) on the left side of the receiver next to the serial number. Fitted with a 13 1/2 inch triangular spike bayonet, blued dust cover, and a smooth pistol grip stock with finger grooves.
