Manufactured in 1943 and showing standard markings and features overall, this rifle has been outfitted as a "grenadier" rifle. The launcher is of the WWII-standard "cup" style, with the detachable barrel marked "WaA140" (used by Fabrique Nationale, which spent much of WWII making military hardware under Nazi occupation), and the clamp-on base marked "ch" (another FN code) and "G.Gr.Ger.". The grenade sight is constructed mostly from stamped metal, with an integral spirit level and range markings for direct and indirect fire up to 250 yards, marked "bhm" (unknown maker) and "WaA37" (multiple makers).
