Description:

This is an excellent example of a very late WWII Rock-Ola M1 carbine as produced in the very last block of approximately 20,000 serial numbers circa April/May 1944. The Rock-Ola Juke Box company produced the lowest numbers of M1 Carbine during WWII, certainly making them highly desirable and collectable. The rear of the receiver is marked in small letters "ROCK -OLA/6213215" and the barrel is only stamped with "ROCK OLA" with no manufacturer's date or markings, which is correct for this late production carbine. It has an earlier type I, two position flip rear sight that is marked "BR" on the right side along with the type IV fabricated front sight that is stamped "RP" and secured with a blued cross pin. Its fitted with the second model barrel band without the bayonet lug with the four spot weld scars on top. It is fitted with a blued round bolt and a type III operating slide that is marked "ROCK OLA" on the underside. It is fitted with the Type IV stamped and brazed (fabricated) trigger guard that is marked "ROCK-OLA" on the right rear side. The trigger housing is fitted with a parkerized hammer marked "LT-Q/R4" on the side and it has a blued second model magazine catch that is marked "B-P" with all the correct blued internal parts. It is fitted with an earlier two rivet handguard with the deep sighting groove and an oval cut. Low wood stock, both are correctly marked, with the boxed RMC maker's cartouche with an additional cross-cannon cartouche on the stock. It is complete with WWII green web sling and a blue 15 round magazine that is marked "IR" on the back side.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with the barreled receiver having 95% plus of its WWII dark parkerized finish with the trigger housing have 98% of a light gray parkerized finish. The bolt shows 80% plus of its original blued finish with wear on the rear portion. The walnut stock and handguard both retain most of their original dark brown oil finish with clear, deep and distinct cartouches and proofs. A very nice looking scarce WWII M1 Carbine as produced by Rock Ola, with the correct parts.
