This is a representative example of a post WWII/Korean War era M1/M2 carbine training aid. These were used in class rooms to identify the individual parts of the weapon and demonstrate the cycling/functioning of the carbine. This model is approximately 71 3/4 inches long and is made of a balsa wood stock and forearm with aluminum action parts and stamped aluminum magazine with 5 dummy rounds. A great display piece for your gun room or shop.
Very good. The metal has an overall yellow/brown patina with scrapes and scratches, and the stock is cracked in several places at the wrist with dings and dents throughout.
