Description:

Both of the swords likely by the same maker, most likely a British blacksmith, and date to the early 19th century. They are very similar in design and patterns. The hilts are the same and have federal eagle and shield emblem langets, eagle head pommels, and checkered bone grips. The blades are both 30 3/8 inches long with broad fullers. The second blade has some light etching and signs of niter blue backgrounds and gold highlighting. The scabbard are both brass and are of different designs.

Rating Definition:

Both are very good with aged patina on the brass, gray patina and some mild oxidation and pitting on the blades, traces of finish on the second blade, and some nicks on the blade edges. The first has tight fit, and the second has a fairly tight fit but is missing the washer.
