Manufactured in 1894. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .45 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Chicago on June 7, 1894, as part of a 20 gun shipment. The barrel has the two-line address marking on top and "45 COLT" on the left side, and the left side of the frame has the two-line patent date marking followed by a circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap and both grip panels. Comes with a Schmelzer leather holster rig.

Fine. The revolver retains 40% plus bright original high polish blue finish and 30% plus original case colors with the overall balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are very good with some even, moderate wear in the checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster rig is very good showing flex wear and flaking throughout. The closer strap is missing.
