Manufactured early in 1943 before the introduction of the G43 rifle. The G41 was one of the only production model semi-automatic rifles to use the "gas trap" system, as opposed to the gas port used on the G43 which has become the de-facto standard for gas-operated weaponry from WWII up through the modern day. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with the model and manufacturer markings on the left side of the finely machined receiver, machined dust cover and bolt carrier, solid cocking knob, and a left side mounted bolt catch. Fitted with a matching number smooth pistol grip stock and a contrasting resin handguard, matching number on the underside, and a cupped steel buttplate.

Fine with 70% of the blue finish, showing areas of gray patina and brown spotting, along with some scattered scratches and handling marks. The receiver cover and bolt carrier are numbered "6604", other external numbers are "5520" and matching. The stock is fine, with some light scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent.
