A long range dial sight marked from 1,600-2,800 yards is located on the left side of the stock behind the barrel band with an unmarked flip up, adjustable aperture sight located on the left side of the butt socket. The top breech end of the barrel is marked "A.G. PARKER/BIRMINGHAM". Detachable 10-round box magazine, magazine cut-off on the right side of the receiver, and an integral sheet steel bolt cover marked "A.G. PARKER & Co. Ltd. BIRMINGHAM". The serial number is stamped on the right side of the receiver and on the back of the bolt handle. Full length walnut stock marked "J.S." in white paint on the right side, and brass buttplate marked "No. 2" on the tang with compartment. Commercial rifles like this one were popular with British officers on active service and with sportsmen and target shooters throughout the British Empire. With canvas web sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 60% original blue finish remains with areas of rough oxidation and pitting, edge wear, and numerous nicks and scratches. The rear aperture sight staff has a slight bend and will not properly fold. The stock is also fine with numerous small dings and dents and several deeper scrapes. Mechanically very good.
