This revolver is accompanied by a factory letter confirming and fully detailing its configuration. 6" vent rib with adjustable target rear sight and orange insert ramp front sight. The letter states "Ducks Unlimited markings on the left side of the barrel". The side plate features a profile of the state of Illinois and a Duck's head. "1 of 250" is on the frame. Factory "pebble grain finger groove rubber stocks." Serrated trigger and hammer. This revolver was shipped to Greg Martin Auctions 660 Third Street, Suite 100 San Francisco, California on October 16, 2008. The letter also confirms this as the original factory example: "Subject revolver was kept by the Colt factory as a sample of the Illinois Ducks Unlimited Special edition." Complete with the original blue carrying case and "The Legend Lives" overbox and literature.
