Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter, this revolver was kept by the Colt factory as a show gun and a sample and display piece. The letter also confirms the caliber, 8" solid rib barrel with standard markings, blue finish with case casehardened hammer, checkered varnished walnut stocks with gold Rampant Colt medallions, and Rampant Colt on the side plate. Has serrated blade front and adjustable rear sights. Complete with Colt "wood grain" box with Custom Shop end label numbered to the gun and marked "Show Gun".
