This rifle was built on a Springfield Armory (Inc.) commercial M1 Garand receiver and is numbered 1187 of 1945. It has standard receiver markings and features with "Iwo Jima, February 23,1945" on the operating rod. With commemorative laser engraved markings on both sides of the walnut stock. With military style wood crate with commemorative markings, leather sling, and cleaning kit.

Excellent overall. 99% original finish remains with some light cycling marks on the receiver. Stock is also excellent with some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with a bent latch, and piece absent from one of the lid slats.
