Manufactured in 1955/56. It has standard S&W markings, Magna grips, adjustable square notch rear sight, and matching numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud. The un-numbered factory blue box lacks an end label.

Excellent. The revolver retains nearly 98% original blue finish showing minor holster type wear near the muzzle, some scattered minor edge wear and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with a small chip missing near the bottom (right panel) and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine showing minimal wear.
