Designed to replace the aging Vetterli Model 1870 Cadet rifle. Inverted "V" blade front and adjustable rear notch sights graduated for both the standard 7.5mm Swiss military cartridge and the lower powered Cadet cartridge. The matching serial number "20" is stamped on the receiver, barrel, front and rear sights, and bolt body. Full length stock with two barrel bands, stacking hook, and bayonet lug with a small Swiss "cross/shield" stamp on the right side of the buttstock.

Very fine. 80% original blue finish remains with some areas of edge wear, slightly dark patina on the bright components, and scattered small nicks and dings. The wood is also very fine with sharp markings and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent.
