Manufactured from 1949 to 1959. The F, or Premier, grade was the highest offered by Remington, and each one was handmade by the master smiths in the Remington Custom Shop. The barrel features dual bead sights, cylinder choke, two-line address/patent markings inside an engraved panel on the right side, engraved "F/GRADE" followed by stamped 20 gauge and 2 3/4 inch chamber markings inside an engraved panel and 2 1/4 inch wedge of engraved scrollwork on each side at the breech. The model and serial number markings are hand engraved on the underside of the receiver. The receiver shows near full coverage fine scrollwork on a punch dot background which incorporates three game scenes depicting birds and dogs on each side. The trigger guard has floral patterns and a dog's head. A floral design is on the rear of the bolt handle. Mounted on an extra fancy grade walnut pistol grip stock featuring multi-point checkering, grip cap with high relief game bird, a large blank inscription oval on the underside and slightly oversize serrated plastic Remington buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Comes with a deluxe Remington combination lock takedown case.

Excellent with 99% original blue showing only the slightest handling marks. The wood is very fine as refinished. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent. An excellent piece of Remington firearm art.
