At the Premier Grade, the 1100 becomes a hand-fitted masterwork, requiring 80 hours per weapon, entirely apart from woodwork or the individual hand fitting. This example received the personal attention of Robert P Runge, a second-generation American engraver who started his career on Parker shotguns. Runge has signed his work "RPR" on the left side of the receiver. The barrel features dual bead sights, modified choke, gauge and 2 3/4 inch chamber information on the left side, two-line address/patent information on the right side and 5 3/4 inch wedge of engraved scrollwork on each side at the breech. The model and serial number are engraved in individual banners on the left side of the receiver. The receiver shows near full coverage fine scrollwork on a punch dot background which incorporates three relief gold inlaid game scenes depicting birds and dogs on each side. The trigger guard has floral patterns and a dog's head. The bolt and bolt handle are also engraved. Mounted on an extra fancy grade walnut pistol grip stock featuring fancy fine checkering, plain grip cap, blank inscription oval on the underside and solid Decelerator recoil pad (1 inch thick). Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Comes with a deluxe Remington combination lock takedown case.

Near new overall showing only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent. A wonderful piece of modern Remington firearm art.
