Manufactured in 1915. According to the chart on page 291 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote only 303 shotguns were manufactured in this configuration of barrel length, chambering, and grade. Single bead sight on the matte rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TITANIC STEEL", 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, and full/full chokes. Standard "D" grade engraving on the receiver with hunting dogs on the sides and four geese on the underside. Matching visible serial numbers. With dual triggers and tang mounted automatic thumb safety. Fancy checkered splinter forearm with steel tip insert and engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Parker Brothers grip cap, silver initial oval, and engraved skeleton buttplate over a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .666/.666 inch; minimum wall thickness .038/.038 inch; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 85% original blue finish remains on the barrels with some dings along the rib, patchy rough spotting, muzzle wear, and traces of pin point pitting. The receiver has 40% original muted case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina with sharp engraving, mostly bright trigger guard, and handling marks. The wood is fine as lightly sanded and reoiled with scattered small dings, well-defined checkering, and a small chip at the heel. Mechanically fine, though the safety is currently stuck and will not engage.
