Smith & Wesson Model 68-2 Los Angeles Police Department Marked Double Action Revolver with Commemorative Case

Consecutively numbered to another gun in this auction. The "8" in the model number appears to be stamped over another number with "LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT" on the right side of the barrel. Standard features. The commemorative case features the Los Angeles Police Department logo and a brass plaque reading "City of Los Angeles 200th Anniversary 1781-1881".

ConditionExcellent, with a few light handling marks, some evidence of light cleaning, and a light cylinder drag line. The grips are a bit ill fitting however are also excellent with a small ding on the right panel near the back strap and sharp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some scattered light handling/storage marks and a minor chip in the bottom front edge.
