Description:

Marked "J.BLANCHE & SON, GRACECHURCH St LONDON." and ""WG" MODEL 1889" on top of the barrel, with "WEBLEY/PATENTS" next to the winged bullet logo on the left side of the frame, matching number on the cylinder, and the inscription "A.E. BERTHOUD" on the back strap. Berthoud has not been identified, though inscriptions of this style are often seen on privately purchased officer sidearms. Fitted with a German silver blade front sight, notch rear sight, checkered bird's head grips and a lanyard swivel. The barrel is numbered "1523".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, mild scratches, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The grips are also very fine, with some scratches and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
