Civil War Starr Arms Co. Breech Loading Percussion Carbine

The Starr carbines are rather similar to the famous Sharps carbines and actually received better ratings in official government tests than the Sharps. They were primarily issued to Union cavalry units in the Western Theater of the Civil War. This one has the standard markings and features.

ConditionFair with the metal a dark mottled brown patina. There is a couple patches of minor pitting and a small crack in the lower tang. The heavily sanded, revarnished wood has some scattered minor dings and divots. Mechanically excellent.
