Description:

Manufactured 1883 with an "SWP/1883" cartouche along with standard markings and features other than the Model 1884 replacement Buffington rear sight. Includes an M1873 trowel bayonet with "PAT.APR.16.72" marking with an M1868 style scabbard marked "F.CHILLINGWORTH/PAT.DEC.1.1863".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 70% original blue finish with the balance thinning or spotting to a smooth grey-brown patina. The breech shows 95% vibrant case colors. The wood is very good with some scattered minor dings and divots, some light handling marks from general use, and crisp cartouches overall. No audible clicks during cocking, but otherwise mechanically excellent.
