According to the included factory letter, this revolver was sent as a single item to H&D Folsom Arms of New York City on August 21, 1925. The caliber and grips are "Not listed", but the barrel and finish are identified. Fixed sights, with "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40" on the left side of the barrel, two-line Hartford address on top, and the two-line, three-date patents next to the uncircled Rampant Colt on the frame. The internal rear of the frame carries the loading gate assembly number "904". The grip frame is numbered "745B" on the left side and was originally numbered "386180" before the "0" was overstamped with a "1". These aforementioned numbers are usually associated with factory rework/refinish. Fitted with a pair of checkered and matching hand-numbered Rampant Colt imprinted grips.
