The receiver is engraved with fine leafy scroll, and animal scenes of a European deer on the right, and hunting dog on the left. The back action locks are engraved to match with a doe on the right, and a fox on the left. The tangs, break lever, and selector are similarly engraved. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with horn trigger guard and grip cap, raised cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trap, and checkered horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .677/.681 inch; minimum wall thickness.026/.024 inch; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches; length of pull 14 inches.

Fine. The barrels have an overall gray patina with visible Damascus pattern, light markings, spotting, and light pitting throughout. The receiver is a silver gray overall with well defined, deep engraving, small handling marks and some darker spotting. The wood is good with a small repair visible at the toe, dings and pressure marks throughout, and well defined though worn checkering. Mechanically very good.
