The receiver is engraved with a fox scene on the right, and a running stag on the left with the balance covered in fine floral and scroll designs. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with blank initial oval, raised cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trap, and engraved steel buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .673/.678 inch; minimum wall thickness .018/.016 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Fine. 75% original blue finish remains on the barrels with light surface spotting overall, clear markings, light muzzle wear, and traces of pitting. The receiver and locks have a mottled gray/brown patina with crisp engraving and small dings. The wood is good with a small visible crack in the forearm, worn checkering, dings throughout, and some chipping around the locks. Mechanically barrel/action are off face.
