The receiver and lock plates are fully engraved with fine, flowing floral and scroll designs with Francotte maker's marks on the locks, dual triggers, matching engraved trigger guard, and automatic tang safety. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings, Anson latch, and pistol grip stock with blank initial oval, and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .615/.615 inch; minimum wall thickness .032/.032 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches. With leather bound takedown case with brass inscription plaque marked "R.M.B."

Very fine. 95% original blue finish remains with some light dings around the muzzle, handling marks overall, and two touched up deeper dings on the left barrel. The receiver and locks have 50% original subdued case colors with the balance an attractive gray patina with sharp engraving. The wood is also fine with well-defined, moderately worn checkering, small dings overall, and slightly oversized buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Case is fine with scuffs and dings on the exterior, and some mild staining.
