The F "Premier" Grade was the highest grade available from Remington Arms with parts specially selected and hand fitted at the Remington Custom Shop. Single steel bead sight on the matte vent rib with standard markings surrounded by wedges of fine floral and scroll engraving on both sides forward of the breech. The receiver is fully engraved with highly detailed hunting dog and bird scenes; pheasants and quail on the right, setters, quail, and woodcock on the left, and the head of a retriever dog on the trigger guard. The balance features finely executed leafy scroll designs with punch dot shaded backgrounds. The underside of the receiver is marked "MOD.11/F GRADE" above the serial number. Fancy F Grade checkered semi-beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, blank initial oval, and vented recoil pad. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 inches. With leather bound hardwood takedown case containing three extra barrels, cleaning rod, assorted cleaning supplies, and papers. The 24 and 26 inch barrels have older style markings with hand engraved grade and choke markings, solid ribs, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and improved cylinder chokes. The 28 and 30 inch barrels have later style markings with "DRR" date code indicating manufacture in 1946 as well as "LE3" and "KB3" codes indicating some type of factory rework in the 1950s, 2 3/4 inch chambers, full chokes, and a vent rib on the 30 inch barrel. The engraving on the barrels is in the same pattern with minor stylistic differences between the older and newer sets and all barrels are numbered to the gun.

Very fine. 99% factory quality restored blue remains with slightly light patent markings on the installed vent rib barrel, finely detailed engraving, and mild handling marks. The wood is fine with most of the original high gloss finish on the forearm, a 1/2 inch hairline crack on the underside of the forearm at the receiver junction, and crisp checkering. The refinished buttstock is fine with some slight over runs in the freshened checkering, added recoil pad, and small scratches. Mechanically excellent. Case is fair with separated stitching at two of the lid corners, scuffs and scratches, and mild staining on the lining.
