Manufactured in 1943, and later overhauled and upgraded by Springfield Armory into a National Match pistol using Colt-supplied components. Serrated Patridge blade front and "TRIANGLE" adjustable rear sights, with the one line Hartford address on the right side of the slide and "NM7791435" on the left. National Match numbers are present on the bushing and barrel, the latter also marked "MP" and "boxed C" on the lug and numbered to match the frame, which bears an "AA" (Augusta Arsenal) rework mark on the left near the "FJA" proof, "SA" twice on the right side of the frame, along with "T" and "NM" on the trigger guard. Fitted with an adjustable serrated alloy trigger, wide knurled hammer, long grip safety, checkered front strap, stippled flat mainspring housing, checkered Beckelhymer-brand grips, "S" marked full blue magazine, and an extended recoil spring guide with integral spring-loaded buffer.

Very good as arsenal upgraded to National Match specifications and subsequently reblued, with 95% of the blue finish, showing some light wear and handling marks. An unknown party has aggressively beveled the underside of the barrel, opposite the locking ribs; we don’t know why this was done. The grips are very fine, with a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
