Fully Transferrable British STEN MKII Type Class III/NFA Fully Automatic Submachine Gun Manufactured by HCL Company

This is a fine example a WWII British STEN type submachine gun as manufactured by the HCL Company using a combination of WWII parts that were assembled onto a new production tube receiver. The STEN SMG was the main British submachine gun that was developed and used throughout WWII by British forces all the way up and into the 1960s, eventually being replaced by the Sterling SMG. They were easy to manufacture, and the British Government produced several thousand during WWII. The overall length of the receiver is approximately 11 3/4 inches long with a short 7 3/4 inch length barrel. The top of the magazine well is stamped "STEN MK II", and the underside was originally stamped "LB. B. G89837" and then restamped "HCL 4444". The lower right side of the receiver tube has also been renumbered (HCL4444) to match the magazine well when it was registered. It has the early pattern "loop" style all metal buttstock. It is complete with one original 30 round stick magazine.

ConditionFine with 95% of a light gray reparkerized finish overall as applied when assembled, showing just light cycling and firing. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
