Marble Safety Axe Model 1908 Game Getter Combination Gun, Class III/NFA AOW

Manufactured between 1908 and 1918. A Patridge blade has been installed in the front sight slot, with a brass panel in the rear sight dovetail cut, the left side of the barrels bearing the 3-line Gladstone, Michigan address, "CALIBERS - 22&44" on the extractor, and "GAME GETTER" and "PATENT/ALLOWED" on the frame. A swiveling striker head is installed on the hammer, with a pair of checkered "TRADE/MARBLE/MARKED" grips and a nickel finished tube steel buttstock with integral adjustment hardware.

ConditionGood. Traces of original blue finish are present, strongest in the protected areas, with scattered spotting, edge wear, and handling marks. Some light scratches are present on the grips, which are otherwise very good, and the stock hardware is in good order. The lower firing pin bushing is battered, and the pin does not automatically reset, otherwise mechanically good. NOTE: This weapon is registered as a National Firearms Act (NFA), AOW (Any Other Weapon). Although NOT a fully automatic weapon it is still controlled like a NFA weapon that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
