Dated "1889", with blade front and platinum-highlighted ladder rear sighs, bearing a set of dual arrow military acceptance/release stamps and "crown" proofs on the left side of the chamber and receiver, and the Victoria cipher over the maker's mark, date, and model marking on the right. Fitted with a smooth straight wrist stock, with a "BA&A/(arrow)WD" stamp and dual broad arrows on the right side, "M&D/897" on the left, and a flat buttplate.

Very fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting, wear and handling marks overall. The lever retains 75% original case colors. The stock is fine, with scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent.
