Originally manufactured as a British Number 4 Short Magazine Lee-Enfield, this rifle has been reworked into a magazine-fed 22 caliber training rifle. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a sleeved barrel, alternate bolt assembly, and a standard Enfield magazine converted to act as a housing for a smaller 22 caliber magazine. Fitted with a smooth matching numbered stock, with "BER" stenciled on each side, "9/1164" stamped on the left near the buttplate, and an aluminum buttplate.

Fine as arsenal refurbished/refitted, with 90% of the matte black paint, showing areas of flaking and handling marks. The fine stock shows a number of scuffs and dings. Mechanically fine.

Manufactured in 1950. Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with the model marking, arsenal and date on the left side of the receiver, and a smooth pistol grip stock.

Excellent, with 95% plus of the original blue finish, showing some areas of brown patina, mild edge wear and scattered handling marks. The stock is very fine, with a number of dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
