U-Boat Battle Dress Blouse with Kriegsmarine Tropical Trousers and Cap

1) U-boat denim green herringbone twill blouse with black bakelite buttons, an integral belt, a yellow Kriegsmarine eagle on the right breast, and an Iron Cross Second Class ribbon in the second button. No identifying marks are present, as on all these blouses. 2) Tan Kriegsmarine tropical twill pants, marked "F. Engel/Hadersleben/90/76" on an inside pocket, with metal internal buttons, tan bakelite external buttons and an integral belt. Included with the lot is an assortment of photocopied research material and a vintage U-Boat themed postcard. 3) U-Boat Officer's Overseas Cap with U-Boat "Red Fish" Badge. Constructed from black felt, this cap features gold wire trim, a yellow wire "eagle" patch over a diamond-shaped cockade patch, and an unmarked black cloth interior. Mounted on the left side, in the style of the Kriegsmarine's U-boat force, is a red fish with white borders, hand stitched in a zig-zag pattern. This style of fish is associated with the Type VIIB U-50, commissioned in December of 1939 and sunk in April of 1940. U-50 only engaged in two patrols during its short career, scoring 4 kills (sixteen thousand gross tons) before running afoul of a British minefield in the North Sea, with all hands lost.

Condition1) Good, showing a "salty" appearance with mild handling marks and wear. 2) Very good, with some mild stains and wear, along with a few areas of loose stitching. 3) The cap and badge are good overall. Some light rubbing is visible on the trim, along with some mild wear and staining.
