Description:

The DWM Luger Carbine was intended as a substitute for the light hunting rifles then available on the market, being highly compact when disassembled and light and easy to maneuver when together. Ramp blade front and 300-meter sliding notch rear sights, with the "DWM" monogram on the toggle. No import markings (either the classic "GERMANY" or the later style name and address) or non-German proofs are visible. Fitted with a checkered Schnabel tip forearm with integral booster spring, a pair of checkered grips, nickel finished magazine with unmarked wood base, and a matching numbered detachable shoulder stock with a checkered wrist and a serrated horn buttplate. A black leatherette custom case is included, with green felt lining and a DWM-style label inside the lid.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing mild scattered surface rust overall, bright wedge wear and light handling marks. Some small components have mixed numbers. 40% of the original straw colors remain. The forearm and grips are fine, with mild scattered dents and scuffs, and the refinished stock shows 75% faded original blue on the attaching iron and some cracking near the toe. The custom case is fine. Mechanically excellent.
