Blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, with the standard barrel markings, Rampant Colt on the frame, and checkered wraparound medallion grips. The frame is serial numbered as a Mark III Series revolver produced in 1978, with a rebated rear cylinder face. Lot includes a factory plain brown box hand numbered to the gun, and a factory letter which states the revolver was a sample piece retained by Colt after production.

Excellent, with 99% of the original blue finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. A few light scratches are present on the grip, which is sharply checkered. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with torn edges.
